<p>If you think you may be tipping the balance in the wrong direction, and you&#8217;re getting more cavities than you would like, the following ideas may help.</p>
<p>Baking Soda gum/ Dental Care gum. Buy gum that contains xylitol, or xylitol mints. Rinse frequently with a baking soda rinse during the day, especially after snacks. (Fill a sports bottle with water, and add 2 teaspoons of baking soda for each 8oz. of water). Brush with toothpaste that contains fluoride. Also use a fluoride rinse like ACT twice daily, in the morning after breakfast, and before bedtime. A stronger (prescription strength) fluoride toothpaste or fluoride rinse, from a pharmacy, or our office.</p>
