Sedation Dentistry

Sedation Dentistry is dentistry without discomfort. Sedation dentistry will enable you to overcome your dental fears and enjoy good dental health.

New and safe oral sedation techniques mean that you can have all your dental work done quickly, in complete comfort. Dr Nuttall specializes in Oral Sedation/ Sleep Dentistry, treating patients with dental phobias and anxieties. With more than 15 years of experience in sedation dentistry Dr Nuttall and his staff are committed to patient comfort and safety. We offer different types of sedation for our patients. These include nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral sedation, and intravenous sedation. The type of sedation chosen reflects the specific unique needs of each patient. This way the patient, and the dentist, are comfortable providing and recieving the best possible dental care. Care that is safe and free of stress and pain.

So how does oral sedation work? The procedure is very simple, one hour prior to your appointment you will be given an oral medication ( a pill). This medication puts you in a light state of sedation and you sleep through your dental appointment. You will rest comfortably, under a warm cozy blanket, and your dental team will monitor you closely the entire time you are here. When you wake up your dental treatment will be completed. You will need someone to drive you to and from your appointment. Oral sedation will make your dental experience a pleasant experience!
